This spot means more to me than just another pin on a map. I grew up here and have been surfing Big River since I was 13 years old. It’s where I learned patience, timing, and respect for the ocean—long before surfing felt crowded or commercial. The memories here are stitched into the coastline: cold mornings, quiet sessions, and the feeling of belonging to a place that never asks for much.
